Another famous building from my college days is the Atheneum in New Harmony, Indiana, by Richard Meier (map link)

Sorry about so many pictures, but the Atheneum has so many different looks in changing light.  The building is basically just a visitor’s center.  Why it has so many stairs and ramps is a mystery to me.  The only explanation I could come up with is that it’s mostly decoration.

New Harmony is also home to the “Roofless Church,” by Philip Johnson, another famous architect from the 60s, and in to the Post-Modern era.  He designed the AT&T building in New York, known for it’s Chippendale top..
