I didn’t intend to make this a “Frank Lloyd Wright tour,” but on my way to Chicago, it turned out that I would hit Grand Rapids at about sunset. So I looked for points of interest there, and found the Meyer May House, by Frank Lloyd Wright (map link). By the time I got there, though, the sun had set, and I just got some night time shots. It’s really a beautiful home, and is now open for tours.
Maybe some day I’ll have a chance to go back during visiting hours. Alas, with the whirl-wind nature of this road trip, I had to move on.
The house is close to the street, and all photos were taken from public land.
