Imagine a community populated  hippies and artist who are all now multi millionaires.  This is Sedona, Arizona.  At least that’s my impression of it.  I decided to splurge here and stay at a fancy resort called Enchantment Resort.  What a waste.  We got a big beautiful suite (their smallest offering), but did nothing but sleep there.

Highlights were the Chapel of the Holy Cross, which is a famous church nestled into a cliff-side, and simply the many views afforded by just walking, or driving around this community.

The view driving to and from Sedona on Rte. 89A make it one of the most scenic drives of my life up to this point (more to come).  Don’t miss the Oak Creek Vista scenic overlook.  Don’t take Highway 17, or you’ll miss the fun.

We ate lunch at The Hudson restaurant, which was very nice, but didn’t have reservations anywhere for dinner, so we ate fast food in our expensive hotel room.  Reservations are required at any decent restaurant in Sedona.
